  • New Employee Development Classes Offered in 2015

    EOD is adding seven new classes to Learning Central in 2015.  Four new classes will be added to the Professional Development Program and three new classes will be added to the Passport to Leadership Program.

  • REMINDER: University-Wide Required Training

    The 2014 University-Wide Required Training has been loaded to all staff and faculty learning plans. The following are the 2014 courses (many employees may have additional training that is required): 

    • Preventing Sexual Harassment 2014
    • Basic Annual Safety Training 2014 

    Although employees have until the end of the year to complete the training, we encourage employees to complete all the required training as soon as possible. The 2014 training will no longer be accessible after December 31, 2014.

    It is time to begin developing self-assessments and scheduling performance discussions. The Performance Review Form is used for self-assessments, annual, and probationary reviews.

  • Raise Your "Paw" If You're In!

    UNM Staff Council Community Service Project

    “The Staff Council is participating in a community service project benefitting the Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico and invite you to join in the experience. They are recruiting volunteers to help out at the Food Bank on Monday, December 29, 2014 for one of the following shifts: 8:00 am - 11:00 am, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, or 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Friends and family are welcome to join in on the fun.

    Please RSVP to Mark Reynolds at no later than Friday, December 19, 2014. Please indicate what shift you prefer and include names of all volunteer participants in your party.”  



  • Wellness Champions and Winners of Ola Ala

    Congratulations to “The Hawaiian Hula Hotties” for winning first place in the Employee Health Promotion university wide lifestyle campaign, Ola Ala!

    From Monday, September 15 through Friday, November 7, 2014, participants tracked their minutes of physical exercise and virtually travel through the Hawaiian islands.

    “The Hawaiian Hula Hotties” tracked 26,096 exercise minutes.  The “CS Lanakila” came in at a close second with 20,181 minutes and “Alaka’I” came in third with 18,314 minutes.

  • 10-Minute Crunchless Core Workout

    This workout will help you strengthen (and stretch) your abdominals, obliques and lower back--without performing a single crunch or sit-up!  Coach Nicole will take you through one short set of Pilates-style exercises (plus stretches) for a complete core challenge.  If you’re new to Pilates, we recommend that you watch our short Intro to Pilates video first.
