  • University-Wide Required Training – Deadline Extended

    Training is Now Available Until January 31, 2015

    The 2014 University-wide required training deadline has been extended.  The training is now available until Saturday, January 31, 2015.  This will be your last chance to complete the training.  You may access the following required training modules by going to https://learningcentral.health.unm.edu/learning/user/login.jsp

    • Preventing Sexual Harassment 2014
    • Basic Annual Safety Training 2014

    Reports will be issued to each Dean, Department Chair, and Director for employees who do not complete their training by the extended deadline.

  • Update to Sick Leave and FMLA

    On January 8, 2015, President Frank approved the changes to UAP 3410 ("Sick Leave") and UAP 3440 ("Family and Medical Leave") that authorize staff to use sick leave for bonding with a child after childbirth, adoption, or a foster care placement. Previously, only annual leave could be used for bonding with a child. Please see the links above for specific information.

  • UNM Professional Development Series Certification Program

    The UNM Professional Development Series Certificate is a self-paced, personalized program designed for those who would like to further develop their expertise in Organizational Effectiveness and/or Personal Effectiveness.

    Courses offered with a focus on Organizational Effectiveness will give you what you need to be industrious – working smarter and getting more done with less effort and stress. Personal Effectiveness courses are designed to empower participants with insights and tools to improve their working relationships.

  • Wellness Events - February 2015

    Exercise Physiology Lab Blood Testing
    When: February 5, 2015 (First Thursday of Each Month)
    Time: 7:00 am – 9:00 am
    Where: Exercise Physiology Laboratory, Johnson Center, B-143
    Cost: Cholesterol testing costs $20 (full lipid panel), glucose testing is $12, and HbA1C costs $22 (cash or check only).

    Instructions: No appointment necessary. Eat nothing and drink only water for 12 hours before the test. If only getting HbA1C, no fast is necessary. Call 277-2658 for more information.

  • 2015 University Closures

    Guidelines for Handling Time Entry

    As the winter months approach, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify the process for University closures and time entry for regular staff working .50 or above.  As per University Administrative Policy (UAP) #3415, “Paid Time,” Section 3.1 University or Branch Closure, “Eligible employees use leave with pay on those occasions when the University is declared closed by the University President… In instances where the President declares the University closed, employees should follow the procedures discussed in UAP #3435, Inclement Weather."
