    Guidelines for Handling Time Entry

    As the winter months approach, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify the process for University closures and time entry for regular staff working .50 or above.  As per University Administrative Policy (UAP) #3415, “Paid Time,” Section 3.1 University or Branch Closure, “Eligible employees use leave with pay on those occasions when the University is declared closed by the University President… In instances where the President declares the University closed, employees should follow the procedures discussed in UAP #3435, Inclement Weather."

  • Update Your Disability and Veteran Information

    As a federal contractor, UNM is subject to recent amendments to Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). These rule changes mean increased affirmative action requirements relating to individuals with disabilities and veterans, and require the University to make significant changes to its applicant tracking, self-identification, self-assessment, training and record keeping efforts.

  • Dependent Eligibility Verification

    The rising cost of health care and the need to contain costs continues to be at the center of discussions to balance UNM’s budget. This spring, the Division of Human Resources is partnering with Aon Hewitt Dependent Verification Services to verify eligibility of dependents enrolled in the UNM Medical Plan. All benefits-eligible employees with dependents (spouse, domestic partner, and/or children) enrolled in a UNM Medical Plan with any of the Third Party Administrators will be asked to take an active role in the verification process.

    Exercise Physiology Lab Blood Testing and Recreational Services Fitness Classes

    Exercise Physiology Lab Blood Testing
    When: March 5, 2015 (First Thursday of Each Month)
    Time: 7:00 am – 9:00 am
    Where: Exercise Physiology Laboratory, Johnson Center, B-143
    Cost: Cholesterol testing costs $20 (full lipid panel), glucose testing is $12, and HbA1C costs $22 (cash or check only).
    Instructions: No appointment necessary. Eat nothing and drink only water for 12 hours before Cholesterol and Glucose testing. If only getting HbA1C, no fast is necessary. Call 277-2658 for more information.
